The Idibia family has raised concerns over the disappearance of music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba.
According to a petition submitted to the Department of State Services (DSS), the family is seeking urgent intervention after losing contact with the singer.
Reports indicate that 2Baba left home on February 10 wearing loungewear and without his bodyguard. Initially, the family assumed he was taking a short walk, but he has not been seen since.
Adding to their concern, some friends claimed to have received messages from 2Baba requesting financial assistance—an unusual act for the singer, who is financially stable.
The family noted that he is typically dedicated to his music and studio work, yet he has not shown up for any sessions in recent days.
In a related development, 2Baba’s mother, Mrs. Rose Idibia, has made an emotional plea to Nigerians, calling on Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to distance herself from her son.
In a viral video, she tearfully urged mothers across the country to intervene, attributing his recent actions to the emotional toll of his ongoing divorce from Annie Idibia.
