Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, will begin operating a College of Medicine and Surgery in November in partnership with the University of Freiburg, Germany.
This follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Plateau State Government and the German institution to enhance the state’s health sector.A delegation from the University of Freiburg, led by Associate Professor Peter Asaga, recently visited PLASU for an on-the-spot assessment of the temporary site at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
They were received by Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Shedrack Best, represented by Deputy VC, Associate Professor Keziah Yiltohom Ayuba.Best commended the state government’s efforts and assured full collaboration for the project’s success, emphasizing that the partnership would boost PLASU’s global ranking.
After inspecting the facilities, Asaga expressed satisfaction, noting that the university was well-prepared and would receive state-of-the-act equipment to support the program.
He also praised Governor Mutfwang’s commitment to revamping the health sector.
