It is speculated that the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, could be redeployed to another ministry due to perceived underperformance.
Adelabu’s tenure in the power sector has been marked by controversies, including his comment suggesting that Nigerians use freezers and air conditioning units due to low electricity tariffs, which garnered criticism and led Tinubu to threaten his dismissal.
The source disclosed that Tinubu instructed Adelabu to apologize to Nigerians for his statement justifying the tariff increase for Band A electricity users.
With Tinubu’s first year in office approaching, it is expected that the cabinet reshuffle will aim to improve ministerial effectiveness and address areas of concern within the government.
