The former representive Mangu South in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Fwanje, recently played host to the Mangu Journalist Forum at his residence in Jos.
The courtesy visit was part of the forum’s ongoing efforts to engage with key stakeholders and leaders from Mangu Local Government Area.
According to the forum, the visit aimed to familiarize its members with Hon. Fwanje, and also to formally request him to serve as the patron of the association.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the forum’s leadership emphasized that their mission is to project the positive image of Mangu LGA to the world, showcasing its rich culture, talents, development strides, and people.
They noted that Hon. Fwanje’s track record of service and his continued interest in the development of the local government made him a fitting figure to serve in a mentoring and advisory role.
In his remarks, Hon. Fwanje expressed his appreciation to the group for the visit and for finding him worthy of such recognition.
He described the forum’s objectives as noble and timely, especially in an era where community-driven media advocacy is essential for progress.
He further assured the forum of his unwavering support, stating that he is committed to contributing towards the forum’s success and by extension, the continued growth and development of Mangu LGA.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks and a renewed commitment from both parties to collaborate in promoting the image and interests of Mangu Local Government Area.
