Earlier today, the APC National Chairman prof Nentawe Yilwatda paid a solemn visit to victims of the recent Angwan Rukuba attack who are currently receiving treatment at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), accompanied by his wife, Dr. Mrs. Martina Yilwatda.
During the visit, he expressed compassion and solidarity with the victims, sharing in their pain and reaffirming the collective responsibility to protect every Nigerian life.
Speaking on the incident, Yilwatda described the attack as painful, barbaric, and unacceptable, stressing that it represents a direct assault on the nation’s shared humanity and must not be allowed to become another routine tragedy.
He assured the victims and their families of the Federal Government’s firm resolve, under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to protect lives and put an end to the senseless killings.
He also commiserated with the families of those who lost their loved ones, offering prayers for strength and comfort during this difficult period.
Yilwatda further appreciated the management and staff of Jos University Teaching Hospital for their swift and professional response in saving lives.
He called on leaders, communities, and citizens to act with urgency, unity, and purpose, emphasizing that Plateau must not continue to witness such tragedies.
