Don Jazzy donates N100m to VeryDarkMan’s NGO

Social media personality VeryDarkMan has revealed that music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, is the anonymous donor behind the ₦100 million contribution to his newly established Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

VeryDarkMan, who had previously expressed concerns over the unexpected deposit in a video on his Instagram account, urged Zenith Bank to investigate the transaction, stating that he feared being set up and wanted to clear any suspicion of illegal activities.

He posted: “@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I don’t know what is going on, hope I’m not being set up… I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear me witness, I don’t know what’s up with the account.”

However, in a new video released on Thursday, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Don Jazzy had reached out to clarify that he made the donation to support the NGO’s cause, which focuses on community development and improving public schools.

He said, “Guys, yesterday I posted that I received ₦100 million in my account. I didn’t get an alert, I just noticed the balance had gone from ₦70 million to over ₦170 million.

“I panicked because I wasn’t expecting anyone to just send ₦100 million like that, so I thought it might be a glitch or someone trying to set me up. People had been sending smaller amounts—₦50, ₦100, ₦200, ₦500—and that made me understandably anxious.

” After contacting everyone he knew to figure out who could have sent the money, he finally got a message from Don Jazzy.

The message read: “Morning bro. Just saw your post. I’m the one who sent ₦100 million to support. I believe in what you’re doing and trust you to be as transparent as you always have been.

We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project, and more blessings to you. It’s not easy.”

Following this revelation, Don Jazzy began trending on X (formerly Twitter), with many users praising his generosity and offering prayers for the music producer.

VeryDarkMan also reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, promising to keep posting updates about the funds raised. He shared that the NGO had already received ₦179 million just five days after its launch.
