Job Description:
The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is looking for eligible and qualified candidates to fill the position of Information Management Assistant in the Management office.
Duties
Under the supervision of the Information Systems Officer, the Information Management Assistant will support the Information Systems Center in managing and administering the embassy’s OpenNet network, Classified network, secure voice and data processing equipment. Additionally, they will assist with Diplomatic Pouch and mail operations and maintain COMSEC accountability. The incumbent may also be tasked with special projects to support Mission needs.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education Requirements: Two (2) years of post secondary/university studies is required
Experience: Two (2) years of computer-related working experience is required.
Skills And Abilities:
- Candidate should possess proven technical skills in troubleshooting and resolving Information Technology and Communications hardware and software issues, along with a thorough familiarity with the Windows 10 Operating System.
- They must demonstrate the ability to manually exchange/repair electronic equipment when necessary. Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills are essential, as well as proficient keyboard skills with a good working speed.
- Basic numerical skills are required for asset management. Additionally, candidates should be physically capable of lifting boxes and pouch bags weighing up to 70 pounds.
