Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has shared a photo of himself from hiding following his ongoing legal troubles with the Ogun State government.
Taking to his Instagram page and story, he expressed his resilience, stating that he is more important to Nigeria than his enemies. He added that pain only makes him stronger, prayer makes him bigger, and that life goes on because God never dies.
A day earlier, Portable made a heartfelt plea to God on behalf of his wife and mother, asking for forgiveness. He acknowledged his past mistakes and promised not to repeat them.
For the past few days, the singer has been entangled in a legal battle with the Ogun State government. Authorities sealed his uncompleted building and hotel due to alleged illegal development without an approval permit, also detaining some of his customers and workers.
In response, Portable stated that he had to prioritize protecting his family and property, leading him to cancel his London show. He reassured fans that as long as he remained alive, he would have opportunities to perform worldwide.
Over the weekend, Portable lamented the treatment he has been receiving in Ogun State, claiming that despite his contributions, he is neither valued nor appreciated.
He went as far as making an emotional appeal to President Bola Tinubu, asking him to intervene and plead with Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on his behalf. He expressed frustration that his state appeared to be against him, allegedly due to his support for Yayi.
