Kogi University Lecturer Stripped N@ked over Sexual Harassment Scandal

The incident that occurred at the Federal University in Lokoja, Kogi State, on Friday, May 10, involved a lecturer who faced allegations of sexual harassment by a female student.

Identified only by his department, the lecturer, who teaches at the English Department, faced public condemnation from other female undergraduates who accused him of misconduct.

During the confrontation, the lecturer was stripped down to his boxers, facing public humiliation until the intervention of the school security unit at the Adankolo mini campus.

According to reports, during interrogation, the lecturer implicated his colleagues, including the Head of the Department (HOD), alleging that they provided him with names of female students to influence their academic outcomes based on personal relationships.

When reached for comment, the school’s spokesperson, Daniel Iyke, confirmed the incident, stating that the university had initiated an investigation into the matter.

He assured that the management had taken immediate action by establishing a committee to address the issue internally.

Iyke emphasized that the university had mechanisms in place to handle such cases and assured that the outcome of the investigation would be disclosed in due course.
