In a heartfelt display of leadership and compassion, Hon. Dr. I.D. Lalu, Member representing Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency, sponsored a free medical outreach in Hurti, Bokkos Local Government Area, bringing vital healthcare services to a community still healing from a tragic incident that claimed over 53 lives.
The outreach, held today, was a lifeline for many residents of Hurti, offering free medical examinations, consultations, and essential medications.
Though Hon. Dr. Lalu was not physically present, he was ably represented by Hon. Collins Yak Elisha, who conveyed the lawmaker’s deep condolences and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.Speaking during the outreach, the Director of Medical Healthcare for Bokkos LGA, Comrade Joseph Dashe, praised Dr. Lalu’s timely intervention and described him as “the type we need in government.”
According to Dashe, “Hon. Lalu’s gesture is more than political—it is humanitarian. This is what leadership looks like, and I urge others in public office to follow this example.”Community members and local dignitaries also turned out in support of the outreach.
