“Like a Movie!” Lagos Lady Dragged Off Plane After Slapping Ibom Air Hostess (see video)

A dramatic scene unfolded at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Sunday when a female passenger was dragged off an Ibom Air flight after allegedly slapping a flight attendant mid-air.

The chaos started during a flight from Uyo to Lagos when the woman, dressed in a white top and black trousers, reportedly refused to follow simple safety instructions. Multiple eyewitnesses claimed she struck a cabin crew member after being told to switch off her phone before landing.

Viral clips posted on X by #OHOgunbiyi show the moment airline staff and airport security confronted her after landing, eventually escorting her off the aircraft as shocked passengers watched.

According to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the passenger’s actions disrupted airport operations and violated aviation safety rules.

NCAA spokesperson Michael Achimugu condemned the behaviour, saying:

“When cabin crew ask you to switch off your phone before takeoff or landing, just comply. It’s hard to understand why routine safety measures should lead to incidents like this.”

He added that passengers must understand they have duties as well as rights, warning that disruptive behaviour on flights could lead to serious legal consequences.

The NCAA has launched an investigation and says more details will be released soon.
