The leading aspirant for the Plateau Central Senatorial seat, Nde Engr. Zachariah John Piwuna, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Ngolong Ngas, at his palace where he sought royal blessings as he continues consultations ahead of his senatorial ambition.
The visit was part of Nde Piwuna’s ongoing engagements with traditional institutions and key stakeholders across the senatorial zone.
During the meeting, he formally declared his intention to contest for the Senate seat representing Plateau Central and shared his vision for the development of the zone.
His vision, he explained, is centered on the welfare of the people and the sustainable development of the land.
Nde Piwuna emphasized the critical role traditional rulers and elders play in maintaining peace, unity, and progress in society.
He reiterated his respect for the traditional institution and outlined some of his plans aimed at strengthening collaboration with traditional leaders, elders, community stakeholders, youths, and women if given the opportunity to serve.
Responding, the Ngolong Ngas welcomed the aspirant warmly, offered him words of encouragement, and prayed for God’s guidance and success in his political journey and future endeavors.
Following the royal visit, Nde Engr. Zachariah Piwuna also held an interactive session with staff of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP).
During the engagement, he appreciated the role of educators and academic institutions in nation-building and called for their support and prayers.
He further shared his plans and vision for Plateau Central, highlighting key areas such as educational development, improved security, youth and women empowerment, and inclusive community development.
Nde Piwuna assured them of his commitment to policies and initiatives that will promote educational growth and create more opportunities for the people of the senatorial district.
The meetings formed part of his broader consultations with leaders, institutions, and communities as he continues to build support for his aspiration to represent Plateau Central at the Senate.
