No more Blockage of Access Roads by Worship Centres - Plateau State Government

The Government of Plateau State, in line with Executive Order 003 signed by the Governor on March 1, 2024, has banned the blockage of access roads to control buildings and vehicular traffic.

This directive was communicated in a letter from Arc. Hart Bankat, General Manager of the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB), addressed to the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Plateau State Chapter and the Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Plateau State Chapter.

The letter urges worship centers to provide appropriate parking spaces away from main roads during worship times and to ensure strict adherence to this directive. It also mandates that all worship centers must present building approvals issued by JMDB to avoid penalties.

Arc. Bankat called on religious leaders to advise their congregants to be law-abiding and to fully comply with the new regulations.
