Your commitment to feeding the nation despite prevailing economic and environmental challenges remains commendable and worthy of recognition.
As an association deeply connected to the agricultural value chain, we sincerely sympathize and commiserate with farmers across Plateau State over the massive post-harvest losses recorded this season. The sharp decline in the prices of farm produce and grains has unfortunately made farming appear less profitable and discouraging for many hardworking farmers.
While sharing in the pains of our farmers, we wish to strongly caution against the increasing circulation of fake and adulterated fertilizers and other farm inputs in various markets.
At a time when farmers are already grappling with economic hardship and losses, it would be unacceptable for desperate individuals to further exploit them through the sale of substandard agricultural products.
As a responsible association, FADA cannot fold its arms and watch farmers being cheated or shortchanged. We therefore advise all farmers to patronize only approved, reputable, and registered FADA Fertilizer and Agro-Allied Dealers across the various local government areas of Plateau State to ensure access to genuine and quality farm inputs.
We also encourage farmers and members of the public to promptly report any case involving the sale or distribution of fake and adulterated fertilizers or farm inputs to nearest:

FADA Plateau State remains fully committed to ensuring the availability and supply of quality fertilizers and agro-allied products to farmers because the success of our farmers is directly tied to the success of our agricultural economy.
Furthermore, we regret the incessant increase in the prices of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs. We wish to clarify that the current surge in prices is neither the making of FADA nor that of stakeholders within the fertilizer supply chain.
The development is largely a consequence of global market disruptions and the negative impact of the ongoing U.S.–Iran tensions, which have significantly affected petrochemical products, including fertilizers and agrochemicals worldwide.
However, we remain optimistic that prices will stabilize as global tensions ease and market conditions improve.
We wish all farmers across Plateau State and beyond a peaceful, productive, and profitable farming season.
