The Mwaghavul Development Association, Women’s Wing National Body, commemorated International Women’s Day and expressed gratitude for the return of relative peace in the Mwaghavul nation on March 27, 2025.

The event, themed “For the Relative Peace, Accelerate Action,” kicked off at the Mishkagham Mwaghavul Palace and culminated at the Mangu Mini Stadium.Led by Mrs. Grace Joseph Gora, President of the Women’s Wing, the celebration aimed to acknowledge International Women’s Day while also honoring the restoration of peace in Mwaghavul land.

The representative of Mishkagham Mwaghavul, Da. Moses Dawop, and Mishkagham Mangu, expressed appreciation for the initiative and encouraged the women to maintain their efforts.Barr. Olivia Dazyam, State Chairperson of the Gender Commission and Equal Opportunity, delivered a keynote address highlighting the detrimental effects of child trafficking and forced labor. Other notable attendees included Mrs. Nanbyen Emmanuel Mwolpun, wife of the Mangu Local Government Chairman, and various stakeholders.

The event demonstrated the Women’s Wing commitment to promoting peace, women’s empowerment, and social welfare in the Mwaghavul nation.
