WAEC to Releases 2024 WASSCE Results today Monday

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is set to release the results of the May/June 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) today, Monday, 12th August 2024.

According to The Sun, WAEC’s acting Head of Public Affairs, Mrs. Moyosola Adesina, stated that the Head of the National Office (HNO), Dr. Amos Dangut, will announce the release at the Yaba headquarters.

The results are being released 45 days after the conduct of the last paper. Earlier in April, Dr. Dangut revealed that out of 1.8 million students who sat for the exam, 49.73 percent were male, and 50.27 percent were female.

The candidates were examined in 76 subjects, comprising 197 papers, with 30,000 secondary school teachers supervising the examination.

In line with recent practices, WAEC will release the results alongside digital copies of the candidates’ certificates, accessible via a digital certificate platform.

This timely release will assist many candidates seeking admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, as the 2024 admission exercise is already underway, with some institutions having scheduled dates for Post-UTME screenings.
