Ordinarily, such an unfounded and poorly constructed attack does not deserve a response, but for the sake of clarity, truth, and the integrity of our party leadership, it is necessary to set the records straight.
1. The Publication Is Purely Malicious and Lacks Substance
The allegations leveled against the APC State Chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature, are not only baseless but are clearly driven by personal grudges and sponsored interests. The tone of the publication reveals a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and create unnecessary tension within the party. At no point has Hon. Bature taken any action, directly or indirectly to undermine the growth of the APC in Jos South or anywhere in the state.
2. Hon. Rufus Bature Is a Long-standing Party Builder, Not a Divider
Those who know Hon. Rufus Bature understand his decades-long commitment to the unity, stability, and growth of the APC in Plateau State. His track record speaks for itself:

The claim that the State Chairman “sat on a report” is simply false. Party procedures require thorough verification, fair hearing, and adherence to the constitutional guidelines of the APC, none of which can be rushed to satisfy external pressure.
4. Attempt to Paint Hon. Bature as Anti-Party Is Dishonest
The publication attempts to label Hon. Bature as working against the party, yet offers no single credible evidence to substantiate such a serious accusation.
Hon. Bature has been instrumental in rebuilding the party after the challenges of 2023. He has been at the forefront of reconciliation efforts, outreach, and expansion of the party’s influence across the state.
If there were any genuine concerns, the mature thing for stakeholders to do would have been to engage through internal mechanisms, not resort to online smear campaigns.
5. Baseless Attacks Will Not Distract the Chairman from His Mandate
We understand that leadership comes with criticism, but deliberately smearing the reputation of the APC State Chairman serves no one, not the party, not the stakeholders, and certainly not the people of Jos South.
It is clear that the author of the publication is either misinformed or acting on the instructions of individuals who feel threatened by the ongoing reform and sanitization within the party.
6. The APC Under Hon. Bature Remains Committed to Rebuilding Plateau State
The leadership of the APC in Plateau State remains focused on the task of strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
