In a significant political development, Hon. Solomon Bulus Maren, former member representing Mangu/Bokkos federal constituency, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The defection ceremony, held on October 11, 2025, at the Mbar community centre, was attended by prominent stakeholders within the party.
Among the dignitaries present were Hon. Dr. I.D. Lalu, the current member representing Mangu/Bokkos federal constituency; Chief Elisha Gatol, APC ward party chairman; General John Sura (Rtd), representative of Senator I.D. Gyang; and Hon. Chief Sylvester Wallango, among other party faithful.
