Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Foundation, and Bill Gates are attending the ongoing National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
The meeting, which is presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima, includes several state governors, deputy governors, ministers, and commissioners.
The NEC is expected to review the nation’s economic policies and address the recent fuel price increase.
In related news, Bill Gates, Co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, explained why Nigeria receives the largest share of intervention funds from his foundation in Africa.
He highlighted Nigeria’s large population and the significant needs within the country as the primary reasons for the foundation’s substantial investments.
Gates made this statement during an interview at the 2024 NutriVision Dialogue in Abuja.
