At an event in Abuja where two books authored by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Russia, Professor Abdullahi Y. Shehu, were unveiled, former Military Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, highlighted the grave threat posed by Boko Haram to Nigeria’s stability.

Gowon emphasized that understanding the full impact of the terrorist group is crucial to effectively addressing and neutralizing their threat.

He lamented that Boko Haram has emerged as one of the most significant challenges to Nigeria’s peace and development since the civil war.
