Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Flags Off Southern Parkway Carriageway Project in Abuja on Behalf of President Tinubu

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Tuesday officially flagged off the construction of two service carriageways of the Southern Parkway, stretching from Arterial Road S20 to Ring Road II, off Oladipo Diya Way in the Gaduwa District of Abuja, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s drive to strengthen road infrastructure and improve transportation within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Addressing dignitaries and stakeholders at the event, Prof. Yilwatda stated that the project reflects President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to delivering critical infrastructure that will enhance connectivity, reduce traffic congestion, stimulate economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life for residents of the nation’s capital.

He emphasized that strategic investments in infrastructure remain central to the administration’s vision of building a modern and prosperous Nigeria, noting that the Southern Parkway carriageway project will serve as a vital link within Abuja’s expanding road network.

Prof. Yilwatda also commended the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his visionary leadership and dedication to the ongoing transformation of Abuja through the execution of impactful infrastructure projects. He praised the minister’s commitment to ensuring that the nation’s capital continues to witness rapid development in line with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, the commencement of the project demonstrates the Federal Government’s resolve to provide world-class infrastructure capable of supporting economic growth, attracting investment, and enhancing the ease of movement for businesses and residents alike.

The Southern Parkway service carriageway project is expected to significantly improve traffic flow within the Gaduwa axis, facilitate commercial activities, and contribute to the sustainable development of the Federal Capital Territory.
