The former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and Member representing Pankshin North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dewan K. Gabriel, on Friday paid a heartfelt tribute to the late cultural music legend, John Zuya, during a condolence visit to Zuya Village in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area.
During the visit, Rt. Hon. Dewan described the late John Zuya as a “true cultural ambassador whose music preserved and promoted the rich heritage of the Zaar Nation and Northern Nigeria at large.”

In a gesture of compassion and support, the lawmaker empowered the three widows of the late musician with business grants and also awarded a scholarship to one of his sons to assist in the family’s welfare and education.
He was accompanied by Senator Ishaku Abo (SIA) and other dignitaries who joined him to pay their last respects
While in Tafawa Balewa, the delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the First-Class Paramount Ruler of the Zaar Nation, His Majesty, Gen. Yake (Rtd.), the Gung Zaar of the Zaar Nation, at his palace.
Rt. Hon. Dewan reaffirmed his commitment to supporting creative talents and preserving cultural values, adding that the legacy of Late John Zuya will continue to live on in the hearts of the people.
