The Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) recently held a pivotal meeting with the Desk Officers Forum of Nigeria, Plateau State Chapter. The engagement, which took place on August 29, 2025, aimed to recalibrate the Agency’s efforts towards expanding access and improving the quality of healthcare for Plateau residents.

The meeting was attended by the Acting Director General of PLASCHEMA, Dr. Kwande Solomon Dawal, and the Acting Chairman of the Desk Officers Forum, Mr. Lazarus Simon Rawen. During the meeting, Mr. Rawen presented the Forum’s concerns, including the need for updated tariffs, increased capitation fees, and improved payment processes.

In response, Dr. Dawal announced that the Agency had concluded a review of its tariff system, which would be implemented starting October 1, 2025. The new tariffs include an increase in capitation fees from ₦570 to ₦650 per enrollee per month, an increase in Fee-for-Service (FFS) from ₦330 to ₦400, and an increase in administrative fees from ₦40 to ₦45.

Dr. Dawal emphasized the Agency’s willingness to listen, adapt, and improve its services. He attributed recent progress to the commitment of the Plateau State Government and the 17 Local Government Chairmen. The meeting demonstrated PLASCHEMA’s dedication to enhancing healthcare delivery in Plateau State, and its openness to collaboration and feedback from stakeholders.

The successful meeting marked a significant step towards strengthening the State’s healthcare system. With the implementation of the new tariffs and the Agency’s commitment to continuous improvement, PLASCHEMA is poised to make a positive impact on the lives of Plateau residents.
