Sule Lamido Visits Atiku Hours After Meeting with Peter Obi (see details)

Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, paid a visit to the residence of former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku disclosed the meeting between the two political stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday via his official X account.

Atiku Abubakar expressed delight in hosting former Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, at his residence, sharing a picture of their meeting.

He captioned the post, “It is never a dull moment whenever the former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, comes calling. -AA.”

The meeting between Lamido and Atiku occurred shortly after the former Governor met with the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

This gathering, which also included former Senate President Bukola Saraki, was aimed at discussing strategies to rescue Nigeria from the grip of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Following speculations about Obi potentially joining the PDP or a merger between the Labour Party and the PDP, the Chief Spokesman of Obi’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, Yunusa Tanko, clarified that such discussions would remain speculative until the situation unfolds over time.

Tanko emphasized that Obi’s political destination would become clear in due course.
